Ya sa’da qawmin is a qasidah written by Sidi Abu Madyan Shuayb ibn al-Hussen al-Ansari ق, a great gnostic of Allah. Sidi Abu Madyan ق was the murshid (spiritual guide) of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Harazim ق who was the murshid of Sidi Abdussalam ibn Mashish ق who was the murshid of Imam Abul Hassan ash-Shadhili ق.

القَصِيدَة: يَا سَعدَ قَومِ
ابو مدين سيدي: الكلمات
1 يَا سَعْدَ قَوْمٍ بِاللهِ فَازُوا . وَ لَمْ يَرَوْا فِي الْوَرَى سِوَاهُ
2 قَرَبَهُمْ مِنْهُ وَاجْتَبَاهُمْ . فَنَزَّهُوا الْفِكْرَ فِي عُلَاهُ
3 لَيْسَ لَهُمْ للِسِّوَى للْتِفَاتُ . كَيْفَ وَ قَدْ شَاهَدُوا سَنَاهُ
4 تَجَلَّى بِالنُّورِ وَالْبَهَاءِ. لَهُمْ فَقَالُوا يَاهُوَ يَا هُو
5 فَقَالَ أَنَا لَكُمْ مُحِبٌ . رَبٌ كَرِيمٌ نِعْمَ الْإِلَهُ
6 أَقْبَلُ مَنْ تَابَ مِنْ عِبَادِي . وَ لَا أُبَالِي بِمَا جَنَاهُ
7 اَلْمُلْكُ مُلْكِي وَالْأَمْرُ أَمْرِي . وَ الْعِزُّ عِزِي فَادْخُلْ حِمَاهُ
8 مَا ذَاقَ طَعْمَ الْغَرَامِ إِلَّا. مَنْ عَرَفَ الْوَصْلَ أَوْدَرَاهُ
9 مَا قُلْتُ لِلْقَلْبِ أَيُّ حِبِّي . إِلَّا وَ قَالَ الْضَمِيرُ اللهُ
10 إِنِّي إِذَا مَا ذَكَرْتُ رَبِّي . أَهْتَزُّ شَوْقَا إِلَى لِقَاهُ
11 أَهِيمُ وَحْدِي بِصِدْقِ وَجْدِي . وَ حُسْنُ قَصْدِي عَسَى أَرَاهُ
12 فَانْظُرْ إِلَى الْكَوْنِ بِاعْتِبَارِ . فِي أَرْضِ مَوْلَاكَ وَ سَمَاهُ
13 وَاسْمَعْ إِذَا غَنْتَ الْمَثَانِي . تَقُولُ يَا هُو لَبَيْكَ اللهُ
14 لَبَيْكَ اللهُ

1) Oh how felicitous are a people who attained Allah. And saw nothing in existence but Him!
2) He drew them near to Him and chose them. So their minds declared Him to be free from every imperfection!
3) They have no inclination to other than Him. How could that be when they have witnessed His exaltedness!
4) He manifested light and splendor to them, so they said "Oh He Who is!"
5) So He said to them, "I am your lover!" A generous Lord! Wonderful God!
6) I accept those of My slaves who repent. And I do not care what they have done!
7) The Kingdom is Mine, the Command is Mine, Might is Mine! -- So enter His sanctuary!
8) None knows the taste of passion, except Those who know union!
9) Never did I say to my heart, "Who is my beloved?" Except it said, "Allah"
10) Whenever I remember my Lord, I tremble in longing to meet Him!
11) I roam alone in my true ecstasy; my beautiful endeavor is that I may see Him!
12) So look at the universe with reflection, On the earth and heaven of Your Lord
13) And listen when praises of Him are sung, Say He who is! At your service, Allah!
14) At your service Allah!
