Wadzifah Hashimiyyah - Shaykhuna Sidi Moulay Hashim al-Belghiti ق

An Account by Sidi Harun Michael Sugich ق of Tariqah Shadhili-Darqawi-Habib
At the time of Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Al Habib ق death he had given “Ijaza al-Mutlaq”, unlimited authorization, to just two people, Shaykh Muhammad ‘Bel Kurshi ق and Shaykh Muhammad Fudul al-Huwari ق, with only the latter also receiving “Idhn”, Permission, to teach and spiritually train. Shaykh Fudul al-Huwari being an Individual of great humbleness considered the idea of himself as a Murshid as preposterous and would respond to requests for spiritual guidance with the exclamation, I know my limits, and I could never fill the shoes of Shaykh Ibn al-Habib”.
Eventually, after two decades of this he finally relented and accepted Shaykh Hashim al-Balghiti as a Murid and he became the only person to receive Ijaza and Idhn from Shaykh Fudul al-Huwari, becoming his successor, as well as the first and only Murshid in the Habibi Shadhli Darqawi Tariqa since the death of Shaykh Muhammad ibn al-Habib. Several other individuals also claimed succession from Shaykh Muhammad ibn al-Habib but they were unanimously rejected.
The Shaykh (Muhammad ibn Al Habib) also left behind him men of the way who maintained their duty after his passing and his works, most notably, Sidi Fudul Al Hawari, may Allah have mercy upon him, as well as Sidi Muhammad Belkurshi of Turuk Zawiya. Also among his successors is our present Shaykh, our teacher and example, the renewer of the tariqa who has given new life to its form and manifested its lights and mysteries, Shaykh Mulay Hashim, may Allah sancitify his soul and let him drink from His Cup. He is now one who oversees the matters of the tariqa Habibiyya Darqawiyya Shadhiliyya, our living Shaykh and instructor, and the one though whom Allah Most High has given life to this blessed order, may He recompense him with goodness. He continues in the way of his Shaykh and all the Shaykhs of the tariqa, maintaining the observance of mawlid, conveying knowledge of the fundamentals of true Sufism based on Allah’s Book and Sunna of His Noble Messenger shallallahu alaihi wassalam, and conveying the litany to any seeker who truly desires to be affiliated to this blessed Muhammadan oerder and drink from its teaching. My beloved Shaykh Moulay Hashim Belghiti told me an extraordinary story about his father, Moulay Abdel Kabir Belghiti ق, who was a great saint. Moulay Abdel Kabir once mentioned to some of my companions, “If you truly understood a single letter of the Qur’an, you would not be able to eat or sleep for forty days.”
He then added, “And this happened to me.” Shaykh Moulay Hashim Al Belghiti, may Allah preserve him and let us benefit from his knowledge and guidance, told me that his father once had a dream. In the dream Moulay Abdel Kabir was performing a hadra with the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah be well pleased with them. In the center of the circle the hadra was being led by the Messenger of Allah himself ﷺ. When the Hadra was done, the Companions in the circle and the Messenger in the center became light, ascended and disappeared. When Moulay Abdel Kabir awoke from the dream, he was standing.
